Reef Life Nudis is an extensive marine life identification application focused specifically on sea slugs and related species. The app now features over 350 fully documented and professionally photographed species, making it a valuable resource for both novices and experts alike.

Designed for divers, snorkelers, and aquarium enthusiasts, this application not only aids in identification but also offers educational insights about marine organisms.

A notable feature of Reef Life Nudis is its inclusion of GPS coordinates for more than 200 defined oceanic regions and sub-regions. This functionality enhances the user experience by allowing for a straightforward identification process based on geographical location:

• Select from 31 pre-defined regional menus, such as “Caribbean Sea,” “Australia, Tropical,” or “West Coast United States,” to view species specific to that area.
• Utilize the interactive map to manually drop pins at desired locations and search for species present in that exact spot, with the capability to save numerous searches in the "myPlaces" folder.
• Opt for the “species in my current location” feature to filter results to only those found in your vicinity.

The updated app further allows users to contribute by adding their own species. This function includes the ability to:

• Input detailed descriptions and images for each user-generated species.
• Edit or update information on species contributed by users.

Users with 3D Touch can quickly access all features and utilize the new "zoom view" on the image page, enabling focused examination of specific areas within images. Additionally, each menu can be toggled between list view and grid view, catering to individual preferences.

The advancements made in Reef Life Nudis considerably streamline the process of identifying marine life, while also emphasizing marine life conservation and education. The app houses two major sections dedicated to educating users on conservation matters, encompassing over 50 pages of informative content.

Developed with Apple’s latest Swift programming language, this app is fully interactive. Notably, it does not require an internet connection, making it an ideal companion for scuba divers navigating boats or remote dive sites.
